Setanta Sports Documentary featuring Durham GFC!

This weekend marks a very important occasion for Durham GFC. Setanta sports are coming over to find out about peoples emigration stories from Ireland to Canada since the 1950's. Read what it is all about. They want to see how the GAA has influenced and helped people since making the big move. They have already been to Auckland, Christchurch, Dubai and London and now Toronto is their 5th and final stop for the documentary.

They are going to speak with individuals and families who have lived in Toronto since the 1950s until the present day between Thursday and Saturday. On Sunday the TV crew will come out to a training session in Roland Michener park Ajax. We will be at the pitch from 2pm-3pm. We would like to invite you to come along and join in the fun, whether to play or watch or make it a family day out. After the short training session we will go to Fionn McCools in Ajax for a bit of a social, from around 3.30pm onwards. The Durham Irish also have a jam session on the day.

We would love to see you there on Sunday for some or all of it.

The 23rd Annual Mass of Memory Sunday Oct 27that St. Paul's Basilica

The 23rd annual Mass of Memory will be held this year on Sunday, October 27th at St. Paul's Basilica in Toronto at 3:00pm.

The GAA will be doing the Guard of Honour at the Mass, so we are asking our club members to support the Mass and be available to participate in the guard of honour.  We will have hurling sticks available at the church.

All participants should be at the church no later than 2:40pm so that they can organize the guard of honour.

Also - a reminder that a special tribute to Mickey Hamill will be done during Mass.  Mickey was an avid GAA man and was also involved in the organization of the annual Mass of Memory. The Hamill family will be at the Mass on Sunday and we encourage all our members to attend and support them.
